Multi-platinum country music singer Clay Walker has
publicly announced the formation of the Band Against MS
Foundation. The Band Against MS Foundation is a nonprofit
organization that will raise money to help fund research to
find a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS) - a disease Walker was
diagnosed with more than six years ago.
Still
healthy and living an active lifestyle, Walker knows not
everyone with MS has been as lucky as he, which prompted him
to start the Foundation. Walker wants to see MS cured in his
lifetime, and plans to be a leader in that effort. Band
Against MS merchandise will be available on the Foundation's
web site and on the singer’s 2003 concert tour. Proceeds from
the merchandise and donations to the Foundation will go
towards MS research. More information is available online.
"The Band Against MS Foundation web site is an
important way to reach out to people and help them learn more
about MS," said Walker. "I talk with so many fans at concerts
who want more information, and I am glad there is a resource
for them."
The Foundation has chosen Entango, a leader in online
fundraising tools, to add secure donation processing to its
Web site.
