ST. PAUL, Minn., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2003, WomenVenture is celebrating 25 years of helping women achieve their own economic success and prosperity. To honor this important milestone, WomenVenture is seeking nominations for its 25th Anniversary Awards. A total of seven awards in three categories will recognize individuals, organizations and corporations from Minnesota who exemplify WomenVenture's mission of assisting women in securing their own economic success and prosperity.

One "Legacy Award" will be given in each of the following two categories: the Pioneer Award will recognize an organization or individual who has been a trailblazer for women's economic opportunities; the Unsung Hero Award will recognize the behind-the-scenes work done by an individual or organization to provide or promote economic opportunities for women in Minnesota.

The Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained Award will be presented to five women who took great risks to accomplish economic success and prosperity in her own life and/or for others.

The deadline for nominations is May 16, 2003. Award recipients will be formally recognized at WomenVenture's annual conference on October 31, 2003.
